Final UT2004 EXP3 Environments

Prada's office: organic shapes that are clean cut and poetic- like her luxury goods. The curve is pointing upwards- the direction she has built her grandfathers business. Inside her office, Prada has a large plasma tv screen, a catwalk, and various spaces and tables where she designs her luxury items. There are multiple textures on the walls - representative of her love of textiles and design. These areas would be ideal for photo shoots. The building also has an illusion of a high heel- an item of clothing she adores.

Madonna's office. This environment is eye catching and crazy- not unlike the woman herself. These two traits have been tactics that she has used, along with her continual ability to surprise audiences with her constant reinvention of herself, that have all contributed to her fame and consequently, power. Her office is futuristic with a space age quality, created by the circular shapes (turned into rooms and balconies). This relates to her visionary career, where she has been able to foresee trends in the music industry. Entering Madonna's environment is like entering another universe- an aspect sometimes portrayed in her porformances where she aims to entertain and provide escapism. She has rooms where she can entertain guests, practise Kabala, exercise and chill out from her highly stressful life in the media.

Meeting space: this is glass as both artists are visionary and creative, with sky being the limit. Glass is used throughout also as a metaphor for how these powerful women have overcome the 'glass ceiling' effect.
